“CHOPCHOP’s music snakes round its orator like a slippery thing, cymbals replaced by the clatter of hubcaps on toms, cutlery-jammed guitars – there’s an itchy jazzy vibe to the melodics, fuelled by a fertile imagination full of bruised shapes and punkish angles.“ – Michael Rodham-Heaps, reviewing CHOPCHOP live at the Moth Club, London, in FREQ magazine
“A fantastic life affirming noise… ” – Tom Robinson, BBC 6

Since their inception in 2016 CHOPCHOP have garnered a reputation as a compelling live band, with Galician writer Xelís de Toro mixing performance art with his yelped vocals, and the band pulling in wildly eclectic influences to form their own unique sound.
They have been played on the BBC 6’s cult favourite radio show Freak Zone, as well as Tom Robinson’s show. They have performed at acclaimed festivals such as Supernormal, Acid Horse and Unorthodox Paradox.
Following on from their debut album ‘Everything Looks So Real‘ and 2023’s EP ‘Elástico‘, the band released their second album ‘Bell Well‘ in July 2024. For 2025 they have their first overseas gigs lined up, with dates planned for the end of April in Glaicia, Spain.
